Skanska Infrastructure Development (Skanska ID) provides investment capital and development support for UK-based Private Finance Initiative (PFI). As the UK's leading service provider - the company's portfolio is now in excess of £3bn - Skanska ID and Skanska UK work hand in hand, creating, managing and investing in UK PFI/PPP (Public Private Partnerships) schemes in the joint focus areas of Healthcare, Defence, Custodial, Education and Transportation.

With a planned relocation to new 16,000 Sq Ft. office premises in Fleet Street, a keen emphasis was placed on the importance of maintaining and fostering good internal employee relationships through improving and harmonising office aesthetics and maintaining strong communication flow. Over a five-month project period, Dovetail worked in tandem with architects Harper and Downie to deliver an installation as part of a refreshingly stylish and inspirational re-branding of Skanska's working environment. Commencing initially with employee consultation, furniture assessments, through to mock -ups and final fitting up, the brief was largely inspired by Simon Hipperson, President of Skanska ID, whose pioneering management style lies at the heart of the company's dynamic ethos.

The final solution has fostered a working environment that stimulates originality and encourages team interaction. By providing an industry leading facility Skanska is looking to ensure that their people benefit from better collaboration, internal communications and enhanced job satisfaction - the effect of which should keep Skanska ahead of the game.
